Leonard the Moose

$ 62.50

Meet Leonard – he likes smoking a pipe, fixing things with duct tape, and playing his guitar. He’s a pretty straightforward dude. If he’s tired, he goes to sleep. If Leonard’s hungry, he makes a sandwich. And if he decides to fill your home with his lovely shiny skin (aka paper), by God he’s going to do it. Leonard is unapologetically who he is: a gorgeous, rugged, (shiny) moose. And just so you can feel super smart, the plural of moose is moose. It’s both plural and singular! When was the last time you learned something in a product description?

Leonard the Moose is a papercraft DIY project that comes as a kit for you to assemble. He comes as pieces with glue and instructions so you can complete him.

DETAILS AND FAQ

What comes in the kit to build him?

  • Leonard comes with 35 pieces, ½ oz. glue, a practice piece, and instructions.

How large is Leonard?

  • The finished sculpture is 20 in (51 cm) from top to bottom, 27 in (69 cm) from side to side, and 14 in (36 cm) from the wall to the furthest point of his antlers.

How long does it take to build Leonard?

  • It depends on your skill level, but I estimate it will take between 6 and 8 hours to complete him (especially if you want him to look as nice as the pictures!).

How hard is it to build him?

  • On a scale of 1 to 10, he is a 8. Those antler’s take some skill!
  • 1 means you struggle to put together IKEA. 10 means you can build anything anyone puts in front of you.

How does he hang on the wall?

  • Since he’s paper and hollow, the finished sculpture is super light. A push pin or small nail is going to be more than adequate! If you are worried about poking holes in your wall, a hook with a command strip behind it should also work.

Do I need to paint Leonard?

  • Nope! Leonard comes as the colors you see in the pictures above.

What is the typical age range?

  • Possibly - I recommend around 10 as the lower age limit. He requires spatial ability and patience. Anyone with those skills should be able to complete him!
